BEM (Basic Emergency Management)

Description

This course provides an overview of emergency management in Ontario including the systems and processes for preventing, mitigating, preparing for, responding to, and recovering from emergencies and disasters.  You will learn about the key provisions of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act. You will also have the opportunity to identify the roles and responsibilities of various levels of government and other key organizations involved in emergency management.

  • Municipal and Provincial Emergency Management Coordinators
  • Members of emergency management program committees
  • Personnel responsible for emergency programs within their organizations (For example: Emergency Services, Private Sector, Non-Government Organizations, etc.)
