Fire and Safety Educator

Description

Students will gain knowledge and skills to deliver sound public education to their communities. Students will explore the myths and realities of fire, human behaviour during fire emergencies and strategies to effectively reach a variety of audiences. Methods of delivering fire and life safety education, selecting educational materials, working with the media and evaluating program success will also be covered.

Target Audience

Life Safety Educators and Ambassadors within a community or organization.

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a certificate with ProBoard and IFSAC seals for NFPA 1035 Professional Qualifications for Public Fire and Life Safety Educator Level I.
