Basic Search Course

Description

This course provides a solid understanding of Canada’s ground SAR system and how to use different SAR assets effectively for a SAR mission. There is training on Navigation, Radio Operations, Maps, Night Navigation, Global Positioning Systems, Lost Person Behaviour, Search Patterns that will prepare the students for a search and rescue deployment.

Target Audience

  • Members of emergency management and health/safety program committees
  • Emergency First Responders

Certification

Graduating students receive a certificate of completion SAR-1 Basic Searcher Canada Course.
